“Virtues of the People of the Cloak" - Fadā’il as-hāb al kisā’

Authored by: Dr. Bashar Awad Marouf, Dr. Muhammad Bashar Awad, and Dr. Ahmad Dodin.

The book discusses the virtues of the People of the Cloak as narrated by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his companions. These include our masters Ali Al-Murtadha and his wife Fatimah Al-Zahra Al-Batool, and their sons Hasan and Husayn, peace be upon them all.

The book is structured into an introduction and four chapters. The introduction covers the general virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (the family of the Prophet) as mentioned in Prophetic hadiths and reports from the companions. The first chapter is dedicated to the virtues of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali Al-Murtadha, following the same pattern. The second chapter deals with the virtues of the Commander of the Faithful, Hasan bin Ali. The third chapter covers the virtues of Husayn bin Ali. The fourth chapter is about the virtues of Fatimah Al-Zahra Al-Batool, the piece of the Prophet.

The book encompasses all Prophetic hadiths and narrations, whether they are authentic, good, or weak, considering that weak hadiths are referenced in matters of virtues, excluding false and fabricated ones, which have little benefit and are potentially harmful.
