Establishment
جلالة الملك عبد الله

Based on the Royal Decree issued by His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, may he be preserved and protected, the Royal Hashemite Documentation Center was established in the Amiri Diwan in the year 2005. It was established under the supervision and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Nayef, the Chairman of the Center's Board of Trustees.
The Center aims to preserve the national and Hashemite Remembrane, especially documents related to the Hashemite family, their history, and the history of the countries they have served, particularly Jordan. It conducts research and studies related to this matter, and hand manuscript related to their biographies and the biographies of those who have contributed to this history. It also publishes personal memoirs of those who have been witnesses to or participants in these events. Furthermore, it takes care of the noble lineage and all those who belong to it. We have been blessed by God to preserve thousands of documents related to this matter using the latest scientific methods.
The Center seeks genuine scientific cooperation with Arab and international institutions and centers with similar objectives, exchanging experiences with them, holding seminars and conferences to deepen mutual cooperation for the advancement of the tasks entrusted to it.
The Center aims to collect documents about Jordan, the Hashemite family, manuscripts of all kinds, and images, as well as preserving and recording Hashemite documents and recordings. It classifies and indexes them according to scientific principles to facilitate the work of researchers who wish to benefit from them. In addition, it processes, restores, and preserves documents, manuscripts, and images.
Believing in the great role played by the Center in its future vision with its management and capabilities, which reflect the vision of His Majesty the King and the great confidence in the future, we take many steps towards the future to reach a clear path that carries the significant participation of the sons of the homeland and its institutions. This is achieved by conveying the idea of the work to everyone and working continuously and positively to achieve the accomplishments of the Center and its cultural role. The continuity of this work and the great achievements will be the solid foundation for fulfilling the Center's mission.
