The First Military Martyr in the Ranks of the Arab Army - Mufleh Hassan Al-Dabbas

مفلح الدباسMufleh Al-Dabbas is considered the first martyr in the records of the Arab Army/Jordanian Armed Forces. He was martyred - may God have mercy on him - due to injuries sustained on the night of October 9-10, 1938, following skirmishes on the Syrian Jordanian border. According to the army's statement, the announcement of his martyrdom was published in a daily order dated August 13, 1938, as the first martyr of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Martyr Mufleh Hassan Al-Dabbas was a resident of the city of Al-Salt, and also lived in the city of Al-Karak with his family during his military service in the Cavalry Squadron. He was married and had four children (two sons, Abdul Razzaq born in Al-Salt, and the late Abdul Fattah born in Al-Karak), and two daughters. His wife was pregnant at the time of his martyrdom.

The soldier Al-Dabbas, who bore the number 1920, was known for many virtues and good qualities; he was an example of manhood, bravery, and high moral character.
