"Raghadan is a peer-reviewed scientific periodical published by the Hashemite Jordanian Royal Documentation Center. It is dedicated to scholarly studies in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and cultural studies, particularly those related to the history and civilization of Jordan, as well as its connections to Arab and world history. The Center has named the journal Raghadan in alignment with its mission to continue documenting and studying the history of Jordan and the Hashemites. The name refers to Raghadan Palace, the first political seat of governance and administration in modern Jordan. Its role extended beyond sovereignty affairs to include hosting gatherings of intellectuals, cultural figures, and economists. Thus, it stands as a witness to the evolution of political thought in Jordan and the greater Levant region, reflecting its ties to regional history and the international system. Since its establishment as a seat of governance in 1927, Raghadan has been one of the most resonant terms in Jordan’s political memory. It has been the setting for the presence and activities of Jordanian and Arab political and economic elites, who have collaborated with the Hashemite kings of Jordan from the founding of the Emirate to the present day."
